Remziya Suleyman

Remziya Suleyman is the Director of Policy and Program at the American Muslim Advisory Council, where she leads statewide initiatives that advance civic engagement, advocacy, and equitable public policy for Tennessee’s Muslim community. A nationally recognized activist, her commitment to social change began after arriving in the United States as a Kurdish refugee. Before joining AMAC, she co-founded the American Center for Outreach, the first political advocacy organization serving Muslims in Tennessee, and later served as Director of Congressional and Academic Affairs for the Kurdistan Regional Government’s U.S. Mission. Remziya holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Tennessee State University and brings nearly two decades of experience in advocacy, diplomacy, and organizational leadership.
