Youth Leadership Program
The AMAC Youth Leadership Program is aimed at providing high school and college students the knowledge and resources to understand how to organize for important issues impacting the larger Nashville community. Sessions will take place once a month from August 2020 - June 2021 and this program is open to all high schoolers and college freshmen! In the case of continued lockdowns/shelter in place orders, we will be holding the program online!
From August - December, we will focus on learning leadership skills and understanding how to organize within the framework of a community. Students will have an opportunity to organize an event for the community in order to gain hands on experience.
From January - June, we will focus on workshops led by local organizations and community leaders to understand which issues affect the Nashville community and volunteer alongside those organizations in supporting their work.
The Youth Leadership Program is a collaboration between AMAC and Anhar Institute.
